Red-flag phrases
Watch for “because,” “driven by,” and “proves that” when the underlying chart only shows coincidence in time. Require the model to list alternative explanations before proposing a primary cause.
Force a contradiction pass
We teach a second prompt: “Argue against your previous summary using the same data.” If the model cannot generate a plausible counter-reading, your input was probably too thin — not too clear.
Keep the human line visible
Stakeholder memos should mark which sentences came from assisted draft and which were adjudicated. Transparency builds trust faster than polished certainty.
