Open with the ask
State the decision in one sentence. Everything else is supporting material. If you cannot phrase the ask, you are still exploring — send a signal review note instead of a board pack.
Two charts maximum
Pick the chart that frames the problem and the chart that frames the proposed change. Archive the rest for appendix access. AI tools can help you choose which two, but you must still reject decorative extras.
Name the uncertainty
Boards respect teams that admit sample size limits, seasonality, or instrumentation gaps. Hiding uncertainty invites harsher questions later.
